The A-side was recorded in 2006 when VERNON went to visit VICTOR in his retreat in the mountains of Taiwan. They spent some weeks reminiscing about the old days, drinking tea, meditating and writing songs. They recorded "Guilty Pleasure Blues" with Victor's eighteen-year-old concubine of the moment on drums. Naturally HECTOR was outraged at this shocking betrayal, and the B-side “Let’s Go Chromin'" is his hot-blooded, belligerent response. Suitably chaste, Vernon took up the booze and the drugs and the late nights and the rest of it, and recorded the song with him in 2009. Australian import.
